The District Manager - South will have the overall responsibility for overseeing the people, processes and operations of the convenience store locations in our southern region of Consumers Cooperative which includes 5 locations. The District Manager drives day-to-day operations of all locations by training, coaching and supporting store supervisors, planning and setting goals and focusing on in-store problem solving. The position will provide leadership and counsel to store supervisors with a focus on building the long-term success of the company and implementing the company’s policies, procedures and marketing programs to provide outstanding customer satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions:
· Support the company vision and mission statements and implement the strategies necessary to achieve them.
· Travel to store locations and lead store supervisors in the planning, implementation and execution of merchandising and operation initiatives.
· Oversee that all stores are providing the customer service that meets or exceeds the company standards and customer expectations.
· Maintain high standards of store image ensuring that all stores are clean, merchandised and ready for business.
· Support and enforce all company policies, local and state law, and regulations.
· Ensure that personnel processes (hiring, training, associate evaluations, employee discipline and termination actions) are handled in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy.
· Serve as a proactive leader in the operations team, evaluating and implementing new concepts in the stores.
· Coach and develop associates for growth and promotion to maintain a high-quality staff.
· Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback and development opportunities to direct reports.

· Maintain working relationships with associates to support an open-door policy.
· Provide support to the C-store Managers while they are on vacation or short staffed.
Financial and business development job functions:
· Accountable for building store sales and gross profits through the implementation of corporate merchandising programs.
· Oversee that stores operate within the following:
1. Established inventory levels
2. Salary budgets
3. Gross profit margins
· Coordinate with store supervisors to produce an annual store budget prior to the beginning of each fiscal year.
· Marketing and store promotional activities. Utilize vendor programs, social media and other avenues to drive customer traffic.
· Ensure that all invoices are entered in accounting software allowing cooperative to realize a “real time inventory.”
