This position will be based out of the Baldwin location and will require traveling to our other locations in the area to assist other managers as needed. Those locations include: Glenwood City, Elmwood, Hudson, Ellsworth and Luck. This position requires flexibility when help is needed outside the area of your store locations. Starting pay is $19.00. You will also receive pay for mileage and drive time.
MIT will provide the highest degree of service to all customers, ensuring courtesy, honesty, and accuracy at all times, while following all pertinent laws and procedures. At Consumers Cooperative, an MTI is expected to learn the day-to-day operations of a C-store along with greeting and serving guests, processing register transactions, preparing food, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and handling/processing paperwork. Customer service is a major component and the most important responsibility of the position.
List of Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers
- Handle and process daily paperwork and deposits and understand Enable Inventory System
- Coordinate daily customer service operations
- Evaluate employee performance and identify hiring and training needs
- Supervise and motivate staff to perform their best
- Coach and support new and existing Sales Associates
- Suggest sales training programs and techniques
- Communicate with clients and evaluate their needs
- Handle complaints from customers
- Make sure all employees adhere to company’s policies and guidelines
- Act as our store’s representative and set an example for our staff
- Support the Store Manager as needed
- Maintaining merchandise and a visual plan, ensuring product quality and availability
- Ensuring a consistent standard of customer service
- Implement and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure the store is clean adequately stocked, organized, and ready for the next shift
- Monitor and report drive offs
- Enforce all safety and security issues and report any and all unsafe conditions
- Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or accidents following company procedure to the Store Manager
MIT position may require driving to other locations to assist the store manager while they are on vacation or short staffed. The ultimate goal for an MIT is to take on a manager’s position when one becomes available.
This is not an exhaustive list of duties, but a guideline of general expectations. Additional expectations and job requirements will be communicated verbally. This position must be flexible when it comes to scheduling and weekends are required.
